Who we are

Readigest (the “Service”) is operated by Landim IT Tecnologia e Educação Ltda, a company registered in Brazil. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

• Account data: your email and timezone.
• Your sources: the profile/feed URLs you register and the posts we fetch for your digest.
• Billing: handled by Stripe — we store a customer/subscription id and status, never your card number.
• Technical data: automatically collected information such as IP address and browser type.
• Analytics & marketing: anonymous usage statistics via Argologix (loaded when you accept analytics cookies) and Google Analytics (loaded only when you accept both the analytics and marketing categories).

How we use it

To provide the Service (assemble and email your daily digest), process your subscription, respond to support requests, improve the product, and comply with legal obligations. Marketing communications are sent only with your explicit consent. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you and, for analytics, your consent.

How we share it

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers below under contract, when legally required, or with your permission:

• Stripe — payments & subscription management.
• Resend — sending your digest and account emails.
• OpenAI — generating the digest summary from fetched posts.
• Argologix — privacy-friendly usage analytics (consent-gated).
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics (consent-gated).
• Our hosting/infrastructure providers.

Cookies & analytics

Beyond the strictly necessary cookies that keep you signed in, we offer two optional categories in the consent banner — analytics and marketing. Argologix, our privacy-friendly usage analytics, loads when you accept the analytics category. Google Analytics loads only after you accept both categories, since its data can feed both measurement and advertising. You can decline either category, change your choice at any time via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer, and continue using the Service normally.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you request account closure, we delete your account data within 30 days. Financial records are kept as required by applicable tax law (typically 5–7 years), and analytics data is anonymized after 26 months. We retain data longer only where legally required.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, and limit access to staff who need it. Payments are handled by Stripe under its PCI DSS Level 1 certification.

Your rights (GDPR / LGPD)

You may request access to, correction of, export of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal data, and may withdraw consent at any time. EU/EEA residents receive additional protections under the GDPR. To exercise these rights, contact us.
